Uploading and Viewing a Dealer’s Relationship Disclosure Information (RDI)

Dealers can upload their RDI once, and members automatically see it during onboarding.

What this feature does

Dealers can upload their Relationship Disclosure Information (RDI) PDF to their dealer profile. Once uploaded, members see it in the disclaimer modal during onboarding, right after completing their suitability questionnaire and just before continuing into the investment flow.

This ensures regulatory compliance, reduces manual work, and keeps things consistent for everyone.


How it works

👩‍💼 For Dealer Admins

  • Go to Account Settings → Dealer Profile.

  • Find the section called Relationship Disclosure Information (RDI).

  • Upload your RDI PDF (max size: 25MB).

  • Once uploaded, the link appears automatically in the disclaimer modal for members.

  • Need to update it? Just upload a new version—members will always see the latest file, while older ones remain saved for compliance.

Error handling:

  • Wrong format → You’ll see: “Please upload a PDF file only.”

  • Too large → You’ll see: “File size must be less than 25MB.”


🧑‍🤝‍🧑 For Members

  • As part of onboarding with a dealer, you’ll first complete a suitability questionnaire.

  • After that, you’ll be shown the dealer disclaimer modal.

  • At the bottom of that modal, you’ll see a link called “Relationship Disclosure Information” (if the dealer has uploaded one).

  • Click it to open the PDF in a new tab.

  • If the dealer hasn’t uploaded an RDI, no link will appear.

  • Even if the file doesn’t load due to a connection issue, you can still continue directly into the investment flow.


Permissions & Controls

  • Upload/Replace: Only dealer admins can upload or update the RDI.

  • View: Members can only view the current RDI. Internal compliance, product, and support teams can view the full audit history.

  • Feature Toggle: Not all dealers see this option immediately—it’s turned on individually by addy.


Mobile Experience

  • The RDI link stays visible (sticky) at the bottom of the disclaimer modal.

  • On phones or tablets, it opens right in the browser—no forced downloads.


FAQs

❓ Do all dealers have to upload an RDI?
No. It’s optional and depends on each dealer’s compliance requirements.

❓ Can members see older versions?
No. Members only see the most recent one, but all versions are saved internally for compliance.

❓ Can I still invest if the RDI doesn’t load?
Yes. You’ll see an error message, but you can still move forward into the investment flow.
