Add a new Category and/or Document Label to a Data Room

You can additional Categories and Document Labels to each of your data rooms with a few steps.

 

Categories

Categories appear as headers and automatically presented in alphabetical order. Within each category are Document Labels. 

Does the category already exist?
Yes, select from the pre-populated list.

No, continue typing in your new category name. Press tab and create a new document label and click "Add" to complete this step.

 

Document Labels

There can be 1 or many documents saved under a categories "Document Label". For example, an Issuance could have many closes and as a result there would be multiple closing documents found under the "DCR - Close a Raise" label within the "Directors' Consent Resolutions And Shareholders' Consent Resolutions" category.

Links

You can add link fields to the Data Room, to link google drive folders, Youtube videos for review by the Dealer, or working files like Google Docs to keep your whole team aligned. Simply follow the same instructions to add a document category, but select a "Link" field type.
