Flush out uncommitted funds in card holders’ wallets

What is this feature?

This feature gives dealers (also called Card Issuers) using addy Business a quick and easy way to move uncommitted funds out of member wallets.

If any card holders have uncommitted balances sitting in their wallet – meaning the funds aren’t pending countersignature on an investment – the dealer can queue up a withdrawal of those funds. The system will automatically transfer the available amount to each member’s connected bank account.

This is a powerful tool for managing liquidity, reducing idle funds, and ensuring members’ money isn’t stuck waiting around.


How does it work?

Here’s how you (as the dealer) can use this functionality:

  1. Go to your Wallet Page

    • Log into your addy Business account.

    • Navigate to Account Settings > Wallet.

  2. Find the “Queue Withdrawal” Button

    • You’ll see a button labeled something like Queue Withdrawal for All Available Wallet Balances.

    • Click this button.

  3. System Checks for Pending Countersignature

    • The system will scan all card holders’ wallet balances.

    • It will skip any funds that are pending countersignature (i.e., funds already committed to an investment but not finalized).

  4. Queue Up the Withdrawal

    • For all available (uncommitted) balances, the system will automatically initiate a withdrawal.

    • Each member’s connected bank account (the one they linked to addy) will be used for the withdrawal.

  5. Confirmation and Status Updates

    • You’ll see a confirmation message showing the total number of card holders and the total amount queued for withdrawal.

    • The status of each withdrawal will update in real time in your dealer dashboard.


Key Details

  • 🏦 Connected Bank Account Required: Members must have a connected bank account for funds to be withdrawn. If a member hasn’t linked a bank account, those funds will be skipped.

  • 🔒 Pending Countersignature Excluded: Only funds not locked in pending investment countersignature will be eligible.

  • 📆 Timing: Withdrawals will process as soon as the system queues them. Processing times depend on banking systems and may take a day or two.

  • 🔁 Repeat as Needed: You can use this feature any time you want to flush out available funds.


What if...?

❓ What if a member doesn’t have a connected bank account?
👉 Their funds will stay in their wallet. You might want to reach out to them to remind them to connect a bank account.

❓ Can I undo a queued withdrawal?
👉 Once queued, withdrawals can’t be canceled through the interface. You’ll need to contact addy support for assistance.

❓ What if I click the button by mistake?
👉 If you haven’t completed the final confirmation, you can back out. But once confirmed, the queue is live.

❓ Do I need special permissions to use this?
👉 Only authorized dealers with access to wallet settings can initiate this action.
