đź’¸ How to Add Funds to Your Wallet to Distribute to Investors

Want to fund your addy Business wallet? You can use a connected bank account (EFT) or send a wire — here’s how both options work.

🚀 Option A: Fund by EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer)

This method is available through your addy Business dashboard and uses your connected bank account.

1. Log in to addy Business

  • Head to addyinvest.ca and sign in.

  • Click your profile icon (top right) and select Switch to addy Business.

2. Go to the Money Tab

  • In the sidebar, click Money to view your wallet and funding options.

đź’ˇ Only users with wallet permissions will see this tab.

3. Click Add Funds

  • You’ll be taken to the Add Funds screen.

4. Select Your Bank Account

5. Enter the Amount

  • Type in the amount to deposit.

  • Click Add Funds to confirm.

6. Wait for the EFT to Clear

  • EFTs typically take 2–7 business days to settle.

  • Once the funds are available, you’ll be able to send a distribution.


🏦 Option B: Fund by Wire Transfer (No Login Required)

If you prefer to send a wire transfer instead of using EFT, you don’t need to log in to addy Business.

âś… The wire must be sent in Canadian dollars (CAD) and from a bank account in your name. Third-party wires will be rejected.


2. Email Your Wire Receipt

After the wire is sent, email your receipt to:

Include:

  • Your full name (must match your addy account)

  • Your email address

  • The amount and date of the wire

  • A screenshot or PDF of your wire confirmation

⚠️ This step is required — we can’t apply funds to your wallet without the emailed receipt.


⏱ What Happens Next?

  • EFTs are automatically processed after initiation (up to 7 business days).

  • Wire transfers are manually matched within 1–2 business days of receiving your receipt.

  • We’ll notify you once funds are available in your wallet to clarify how you'd like to distribute your funds.
