How to setup Interac Processing for an addy Card Issuer

The steps needed to setup an Interac process for your addy Card.

To allow your cardholders to invest using funds sent via Interac e-Transfer, you’ll need to set up your Interac service details with us first.

Once set up, this allows:

✅ Members to fund your issued card via Interac
✅ Interac transactions to be routed to your receiving email
✅ You to manage support for any Interac-related issues


What You Need to Provide

Field Description
Card Issuer Name The name of your organization. Shown to members for support and authorization.
Card Issuer Address Your business address. Used for documentation and compliance.
Support Email Address An email address members can contact if they run into issues.
Interac Email for Funds The email where Interac e-Transfers should be sent. If this is the same as your support email, just let us know.
Security Question / Answer Some banks still require a question/answer for e-Transfers. If auto-deposit isn’t supported, you’ll need to give members a default security question and answer to use.
 

💡 Heads up: If you're using an auto-deposit-enabled Interac account, make sure that the receiving email is registered with your financial institution. If it’s not, transfers might get delayed or fail altogether.


How to Manually Credit a Member for Interac Funds

  1. Go to the Member Search page.

  2. Search using the member’s addy ID (they should include it in their Interac message).

  3. Click on the Transactions tab, then hit Add Wallet Deposit.

  4. Enter:

    • Amount received

    • Date of transfer

    • Payment method (select Interac)

    • The Interac confirmation number

  5. Submit.

⚠️ Note:

  • Once submitted, the transaction is credited instantly and does not require second-party approval.

  • Interac funds that are manually credited to a member’s wallet are considered fully settled and available for immediate withdrawal.
