What are the categories for classifying a distribution?
When issuing a distribution, you need to classify the type of distribution that is being sent. This is used to populate T5 and T5013 slips.
There are 6 categories:- Rental Income
- Business Income
- Capital Gains
- Return of Capital
- Interest
- Other - this is only used if you plan to categorize the distribution at the end of the year. This is rarely used.
