What is a “Confirmation of Crowdfunding Distribution”?
An issuer conducting a crowdfunding capital raise has to provide a written confirmation to all investors in the crowdfunding capital raise, containing information such as the quantity of securities purchased by an investor and the compensation paid to the funding portal. This confirmation is referred to as “Confirmation of Crowdfunding Distribution” and has to be provided by the issuer within 30 days of the closing of the crowdfunding capital raise. The issuer will also need to provide each investor with a copy of the issuer’s offering document. Here is an example:
