Is a SIN required for my Corporate Account?
Business Numbers replace SIN requirements for Corporate Accounts.
No, Social Insurance Numbers (SINs) are not required for corporate accounts. SINs are only required for individuals, such as investors receiving investment income (T5) or partners in a partnership (T5013).
For corporate investors, instead of a SIN, you are required to provide your Business Number (BN) issued by the CRA.
