Adding an entity to your account
Get started with addy Business by adding an entity to your account! An entity is the corporation that owns the property. If you’ve already done so and are looking to add a property, click here.
After logging into your addy Business account, click on your account name.
1. Click the Add Entity + button
Fill out all applicable fields. Please note any field with a * indicates a required field.
2. Entity name is the legal name of the entity issuing the offering
2a. If this is a Partnership fill out the GP name and partnership name. If not, skip.
3. Street Address will begin to populate as soon as you start typing in an address. Select the address from the dropdown and it will fill the rest of the fields.
4. Business Number, Business Number Backup, Financial Year End and Authorized Share Capital are optional. Please fill them in prior to your issuance going live, but they do not need to be filled in immediately.
5. Status can be left as "active".
6. Jurisdiction is a required field and should be the province in which the entity is based.
7. Incorporation Number, Incorporation Date and Annual Resolutions can be left blank. Please fill them in prior to your issuance going live, but they do not need to be filled in immediately.
8. Entity Director: If you, as the account owner, as also a director of the entity, you must toggle this on to yes otherwise it will delay future issuance closing and flow of funds.
9. Submit the finished entity by clicking the save button.
The entity will then show up in a list on the left side of the screen.
This completes adding an entity. The next step is to add a property to this entity, when the information is available.
